MyITLab
note: The online MyITLab includes two ebooks, one for Excel and one for Access. These books are automatically included when
you buy MyITLab. This is a GOOD price
for the software and the books. See the MyITLab
Intro video (click here) to see how to find the Ebooks,
and many other MyITLab things.
Problems
running MyITLab? Two most common
solutions: 1) Use Chrome as your browser (Chrome is a free
download. Safari on Macs has trouble
running MyITLab), 2) Make sure pop-ups
are not blocked for the MyITLab site (look in the upper right of your browser
for a red icon saying pop-ups are blocked).
Your computer not letting you complete your MyITLab
assignments? Here’s what to do:
1) Run the browser tune-up (above)
2) Download and use the Chrome browser.
3) Make sure your browser settings are correct (click here)
4) Still not working? Use a Barsema Hall lab computer to complete
your assignments
5) Borrow a Barsema Hall
laptop (from room BH 205)
6) Use a family member’s
or friend’s computer (make sure to use YOUR MyITLab login)
7) Use NIU’s cloud
software (free) to run Excel. See the
links below or on the upper left in Blackboard.
Information
on other labs that are open on campus for student use is available at https://www.niu.edu/doit/services/desktop/labs.shtml
· Don’t have Office
2016? NIU students get Office 365 for
free! Click here.
Note: Office 365 for Macs does
NOT include Microsoft Access. Your best
bet is to borrow a PC from BH 205 or use a Barsema Hall lab PC.
Or you can always run Access on your Mac
through NIU’s Anywhere Apps (click
here). (there is also a tutorial in
the upper left of your Blackboard page).
(first
time running AnywhereApps? You probably
need to download
the Citrix Receiver)
